Writing
From initial pitch to fine cut script, I deliver with words. I’m an award-winning documentary writer with experience in narrative scripting as well. My expertise in writing is robust, from :30 spots and film trailers to nonprofit training videos and feature documentaries. I’ve also written dozens of winning proposals and artfully crafted pitches. I love shaping narratives that are evocative, powerful and effective. I believe a well-told story must be aesthetically beautiful, thoughtfully communicated and driven by an intentional purpose.
Directing
I’ve directed film and video for nearly two decades, winning awards for my work in commercials, training series and tribute videos. I love taking a client’s creative concept and bringing to life a dynamic and captivating world from it. Expertise in producing enables me to seamlessly marry creative and strategy, ensuring a smooth and successful production on and off set. My work has taken me all over the country, filming in locations spanning the mountains of Native American reservations to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
Producing
As an executive producer I run productions from start to finish. I lead creative development, proposal writing, budgets and timelines, pre-production logistics and planning, production management, post-production supervision and project delivery. I’ve run sets with skeleton crews and 25+ person crews–and everything in between. Large or small, I know what it takes to get everything done on time and on budget, always prioritizing the creative vision of the project in the process.
Creative Consulting
I provide consulting for creative concepting, story development, non-fiction producing and narrative filmmaking. I educate and equip clients with the knowledge, skills and tools they need for a successful production. Whether they’re just getting started and seeking guidance to develop their big idea, have their concept firmed up but need direction on shaping their narrative or are producing their own film and need a strategy for funding, filming and distribution, I provide a step-by-step guide to help them achieve their goals.
Public Speaking
How does a great story inspire us and sparks action? My passion is talking about how to shape engaging stories that build bridges across communities through authenticity, relevance and relatability.
